About VirShield

VirShield was founded in 2008 to make the Web safer for surfers. The program is created as freeware and we don’t have plans make it paid. We realized there was a terrible vulnerability in existing Web security programs. While traditional security software companies had gotten comparatively good at addressing traditional technical threats like viruses and spyware, they were failing to prevent a next generation of "social engineering" tricks like identity theft scams, spyware infections, and sites that send exorbitant e-mail.

To make this challenge, we created a system of automated site testers which uninterruptedly patrol Internet to browse web pages, download files from them, and enter information on sign-up forms. We collect all these outcomes and add them to our users feedback, Web site owners comments, and our own employees analysis.

VirShield is easy to use program for Internet Explorer, Firefox and other popular browsers summarizes the safety information into ratings to help users stay safe as they browse, search and transact via web. Our goal is to start a new way to Internet browsing safety and make the Web safer for every user.
